Samsung is widely expected to kick off its 2026 hardware lineup with the Galaxy S26 series of flagship smartphones. Multiple industry reports indicate that Samsung’s next Galaxy S flagship lineup, including S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra, is anticipated to launch in early 2026. Rumors and leaks point to an official announcement in February 2026 with pre-orders shortly after, followed by broader availability in March.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to introduce enhanced AI capabilities, integrated deeply into Samsung’s One UI 8.5 software, along with refinements in design such as slimmer profiles and updated displays. Reports also note potential upgrades in camera systems and performance enhancements aimed at strengthening Samsung’s position in the premium smartphone market.

Foldable Devices Including Galaxy Z TriFold and More

Samsung’s foldable portfolio is also poised for notable activity in 2026. The recently announced Galaxy Z TriFold, a tri-fold smartphone first revealed at the end of 2025, will become widely available in early 2026, with a U.S. release set for January 30, 2026. This device combines tablet-like screen real estate with smartphone portability and continues Samsung’s push into hybrid form factors.

Alongside the TriFold, ongoing demand for clamshell and book-style foldables such as the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7 will keep the Galaxy Z family in the spotlight. While these models launched in 2025, their continued market presence into 2026 will be bolstered by software and AI feature support, including Galaxy AI enhancements across foldable screens.

Smart Glasses and AI Wearables on the Horizon

Beyond phones and foldables, Samsung has publicly acknowledged plans to release AI-enabled smart glasses in 2026. The company has hinted at at least two wearable AR/XR products designed to deliver multimodal AI experiences, including augmented reality capabilities and integrated Galaxy AI support once they reach the market.

These smart glasses represent Samsung’s broader push into next-generation user interfaces, building on its previous AR/XR hardware efforts and aligning with industry trends toward wearable, connected devices that blend physical and digital interaction.

Evolving Software With One UI 8.5 and Galaxy AI Features

Samsung’s 2026 launches will be supported by continued software evolution, particularly through One UI 8.5, which is expected to debut alongside new hardware. This iteration of Samsung’s mobile software is anticipated to focus on enhanced AI integrations, improved system performance, and deeper Galaxy AI implementations that span phones, tablets, and wearables.

Integration of AI features across devices will likely be a highlight at Samsung Unpacked events and subsequent product announcements, positioning Samsung’s ecosystem to better compete with rivals in terms of intelligent services and user experience.

Expanded TV, Display and Home Tech Roadmap

While mobile devices often lead Samsung’s product cycle attention, the company is also pushing forward with next-generation televisions and visual display technology showcased at CES 2026. Samsung’s display leadership outlined plans for TV innovation well into 2026 and beyond, emphasizing enhanced picture quality, AI-driven display features, and smart home integration.

These developments build on established Galaxy ecosystem strengths, pulling together Samsung’s mobile, wearable, and home entertainment efforts into a broader strategy that reflects demands for connected hardware across daily life.
