As of today, Apple has expanded its rebuilt Apple Maps app to Germany and Singapore. It means that users in these territories can now enjoy such features as more detailed road coverage, enhanced navigation, and three-dimensional landmarks.
The rollout of the revamped app to both states – which makes them the 12th and 13th countries to receive Apple’s new map data – reportedly came after 48 days of public testing. Other features that users in these parts of the world can now access include improved views of parks, buildings, shopping centers and airports, as well as the Look Around technology.
Users in Singapore can appreciate such three-dimensional landmarks within the app as the Tiong Bahru Market and Gardens by the Bay. Meanwhile, in Germany, the same technology recreates the likes of the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, and the Berlin TV Tower.
As well as the new maps, improvement has been made to the Siri navigational guidance, and users can share their ETA with family and friends. It is also now possible to report accidents via the app, and those with iOS 15 can more easily navigate public transport using devices such as the iPhone 13 and the Apple Watch Series 7.
